Non Clinical Position

Gritman Medical Center

This page is for volunteers still in high school and/or under the age of 18 wanting to volunteer or complete a senior project. Junior Volunteer hours follow office hours generally M.-F. 9am-5pm A junior volunteer is not for the purpose of senior project, but for people who would like to volunteer for an extensive amount of time under the age of 18 at Gritman A senior project must be under 20 hours, volunteer must be in high school, and will not require vaccination records or a background check.

General volunteering opportunities at Gritman Medical Center have been condensed into two categories, clinical and non-clinical. (positions are not guaranteed and placement is reserved by the Volunteer Services Department) Clinical opportunities: Emergency Room Medical Surgical Unit Family Birth Therapy Solutions Non-Clinical opportunities: Human Resources Materials Department Event Volunteer (Please disregard any dates, this page is only to inform us of your interest in volunteering)

Junior Volunteers can start at the age of 16 and are required a minimum of 4 hours a month. Junior Volunteers assist with a variety of non clinical administrative duties (such as filing, organizing, hanging flyers, etc.) under supervision of hospital staff, Junior Volunteers will also be included in Gritman Medical Center sponsored events when applicable.

An internship at Gritman is defined as a contract between a higher education institute and the student in question, meaning you must have an advisor verification of contract requirements filled out and submitted. The advisor verification of contract requirements is more specifically an agreement between the department and education institute to meet required educational hours for applicable degrees.
